At RK Steel, we back every door we make with a 10-year warranty on powder coat finish and glass unit failure — the longest warranty of any steel door manufacturer in the UK.
We make our doors to last decades, and our guarantee reflects that confidence. No small print surprises, no disappearing act after delivery — just a straightforward commitment to the quality of what we make.
What's Covered
Powder Coat Finish - 10 Years
The colour and finish of your door is covered for a full 10 years from the date of purchase. If the powder coat fails — peeling, flaking, or significant fading — we'll put it right. Note: doors installed in high-moisture environments such as bathrooms or pool rooms are covered for 1 year on powder coat.
Glass Unit Failure - 10 Years
For external steel doors and windows, glass unit failure (misting or condensation between double-glazed panes) is covered for 10 years. Applies to external items only.
Ironmongery - 2 Years
Handles, hinges, and all ironmongery supplied with your door are covered for 2 years against manufacturing defects.
Elite Metal Finishes- 2 Years
Our premium antique bronze, smooth copper, and brushed brass finishes are covered for 2 years. Surface oxidisation, which is a natural characteristic of these materials, is not included.
How it Compares
Most steel door manufacturers offer a 12 to 24-month warranty as standard. Our 10-year powder coat and glass warranty is five times longer than the industry norm — because we build our doors to a standard that earns it.
Making a Claim
If you need to make a warranty claim, the process is straightforward:
Contact us in writing within 30 days of identifying the issue include your order number, date of purchase, and a description of the defect. Attach photographic evidence where possible.
